WOW. SubhanAllah. Fasting outside of Ramadan is so hard. Alhamdulillah.
I kinda like it though. In a way. I can feel the difference.
Ramadan= no shaytaan
Not Ramadan= SHAYTAAN
I woke up late today, almost missed suhoor. I rolled off my sofa and ran to the kitchen – stuffed down a pb&j sandwhich.. at least I think it was pb&j… too early for me to care. Stuffed it down with some water and then it was fajr timeĀ so I prayed then went back to sleep.
Then at school – shaytaan is everywhere. SubhanAllah. Its so crazy how I can feel the difference. Fitnah feels more.. and its harder to stay concentrated. As in – dhikr mode. My mind seems to always get distracted.
Alhamdulillah though, inshaAllah the harder we strive the more reward we get.
Its kinda of a sad feeling though… thinking about ramadan.. and all the reward that was available. And now its gone until next time inshaAllah.
True. I think a lot of it is psychological too? Who’s to say we can roundhouse kick shaytaan outside of Ramadan? inshaAllah we’ll all stand like Umar ibn al Khattab one day.
can’t*
Hmm. I like to think that it is shaytaan. Gives me something to fight. Makes me think of Ramadan as a training grounds. Training us for the year. Its where we rejuvenate. Where we raise our eman so we can battle shaytaan for the rest of the year.
Id like to roundhouse kick shaytaan though.
I think I can probably appreciate this post more now that I’ve fasted some of Shawwal. alhamdulillah.
